Below are Banyan Villas (Thailand) Co., Ltd. policies and procedures with
respect to the Covid-19 virus and its’ mitigation.
The Company may change these policies in the light of new information and
advice from the Thai Government and/or the World Health Authority.
Villa Cleaning
- Floors washed with a bleach solution
- Kitchen and bathroom surfaces/counter tops washed with bleach solution
- Tactile surfaces sanitised with bleach solution
- Door knobs & Window Furniture
- Light / Fan switches
- Remote controls – Fans/TV/air-con/other
- Cupboard and wardrobe doors
- Table tops
- Internal and external banister railings
- Sinks, Toilets and taps (faucets)
- Soap and gel dispensers
- Soap and water cleaning of kitchen utensils, equipment & appliances
- Soap and water cleaning of crockery, cutlery and glassware
- Provision of hand sanitisers in all villas

According to a recent study published in the New England Journal of Medicine, SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, can live in the air and on surfaces between several hours and several days:
- 72 hours on plastic - only 0.1% of the virus remains
- 48 hours on stainless steel
- 24 hours on cardboard
- In the air for 3 hours
Guest Bookings
In order to minimise risk Banyan Villas, in its’ wholly owned villas will employ a
policy of maintaining a 72-hour gap between the departure and arrival times
of guests. Banyan Villas will refuse check-ins within 72 hours of previous
guests’ departure.
For Banyan Managed villas, where Banyan Villas provides cleaning services
and guest relations, Banyan Villas would encourage Owners to operate on the
same 72-hour gap basis.

Health & Safety Covid-19 – Banyan Villas Staff
Employees must:
- Make frequent use of hand sanitisers and washing hands with soap and water. Hand sanitisers are provided by the Company.
- Wear face masks and gloves while working in the villas.
- Not undertake unnecessary travel, following Thai Govt. and World Health Authority guidelines.
- The company reserves the right to request the employee to self-isolate for 14 days on return from any travel to locations where Covid-19 infections are occurring.
- Immediately report any symptoms of Covid-19 to the Company and should immediately stop working and see a doctor:
- Dry Cough
- Sore Throat
- Fever (above 37.5 degrees centigrade)
- Breathing difficulties
- Advise the Company if they test positive for Covid-19. The Company will inform the Thai Authorities pursuant to Section 1 of the Communicable Diseases Act.
